We understand that a death doesn't always occur at a hospital and sometimes a death can happen at home, a nursing home or a hospice, please advise us and we can advise you of the necessary steps in order for us to bring your loved one into our care. Our step by step process below will explain all of the relevant steps to guide you through the direct cremation process.
1. Contact us on 0800 099 6163 to notify a team member of the passing of your loved one.
2. Let us know where your loved one has passed away, whether at home, a nursing home or a hospice we can advise an estimated time of arrival to bring your loved one into our care. If they have passed away at a hospital we will advise you on the next steps.
3. We will guide you with advice on how to register the death of your loved one, and send out an information pack via email which will guide you through the process.
4. Once the registration has been done and the doctor's paperwork has been received for the direct cremation to take place, we can then start the cremation paperwork with you.
5. The application for cremation paperwork will be prepared by our professional team and sent via email for a signature, this will need to be returned via email 48 hours before the cremation will take place.
